Distributed system technology enables Viridis to be widely scalable. Therefore, one individual deployment with multiple servers can serve and integrate multiple plants in parallel. For example, a small installation in one plant can hold up to 500 meters with real time follow up. Medium installations reach around 3.000 meters and large plants, up to 10,000 meters. However, architecture of the system enables it to support even larger installations.

Currently, Viridis has more than 300 features distributed in 28 modules, each dedicated to a different discipline of energy management or control.

Currently, the system is available in: Portuguese, French, Spanish, and English. To fulfill requirements of multinational clients, the system gives special attention to internationalization aspects, not only of multiple languages, but also time zones, and different currencies.

Viridis's architecture segment is organized so it doesn't restrict the deployment model. Therefore, due to particular needs or restrictions of each client, the system can be locally installed at the client's sites, using their own infrastructure, or in the cloud, using infrastructure hired by Viridis. In case of cloud deployment models, the system can be installed in a private cloud, dedicated to each client, or in a shared cloud, with isolation and total privacy for the client's data.

Viridis was developed under a technological platform that uses the most modern big data systems. The system is distributed in clusters with at least 2 nodes, inherently providing high availability. Each node contains a complete pile of Viridis's application. The main module of the application is executed from a Java application server. There are 3 independent data bases: relational, nosql, and multidimensional. Viridis's nodes can be implemented in Linux and Windows local environments or directly under virtual infrastructures.

Yes. Viridis applies various artificial intelligence techniques, including pattern recognition models, classification, optimization, dynamic simulation, and Monte Carlo simulation.

Yes. In case of clients that have geographically distributed operations, the system handles operational management and other aspects related to energy performance in multiple sites. Sites can be registered in the system including settings for various specifications of each plant, like shift tables, system and measurement unities, time zones, currency, language, holidays calendar, and more. That way, the system preserves the specifications of each plant, but simultaneously provides conjoined visions of them.

Viridis works with high availability. Currently, we have installations to support around 100 million points a day, which requires processing of approximately 10GB per day, efficiently compressed and storaged. Due to distributive and scalable architecture, its capacity can enhance according to the needs of each implementation.

Yes. Viridis is always installed in clusters with at least 2 servers, in both cloud and local installations. All data is automatically synchronized between the servers of the clusters, so that even in case of hardware or environment flaws, Viridis is always available to users.

Yes. Viridis developed an exclusive technology for secure, real time communication with servers in the cloud. A local gateway is installed in appliance or virtual appliance format. This gateway connects to information and automation systems in real time and manages all bidirectional communication with Viridis's servers in the cloud.

Technically, all communication is encrypted and there is a high level of control to access Viridis's servers. No. Viridis doesn't change processes, but identifies refining opportunities in existent processes. In case of some monitoring features in real time, yes, automatic measurement is needed. An example of these kind of features is the automatic leakage detection, based on energy consumption patterns. In Viridis's system, data received from meters are considered raw data. After reading, the data go through two processes: standardization and data cleansing.
Standardization process guarantees that data is always stored in the system the same way. Besides, standardization process makes sure that conversion to standard unities is registered.
The quality data subsystem is responsible for evaluating data reported by meters, identifying and correcting problems, such as duplicates, null data, gaps, outliers, abrupt large variations, jittering, and negative data. These problems are automatically detected by the system and correction strategies are applied to eliminate them.
